Pullman, WA— Stephanie Knewbow, registered nurse and Director of the Pullman Regional Hospital Emergency Department and Kim Johnson, registered nurse and certified emergency nurse, will address common questions about stroke warning signs and the patience experience for stroke patients, during an in-person Q&A at South Fork Public House in Pullman on Wednesday, May 18 at 5:30pm.
Knewbow and Johnson are both members of Pullman Regional Hospital’s Stroke Team and were instrumental in the hospital earning Acute Stroke Ready Certification, this April, from DNV- an international accrediting body for healthcare organizations.
According to the American Stroke Association, stroke is a leading cause of death, killing nearly 130,000 people each year, and is a leading cause of serious, long-term adult disability. Pullman Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department treats about 80-100 stroke patients a year.

The Women’s Wellness Series facilitated through Pullman Regional Hospital’s Center for Learning & Innovation is a coffeehouse style conversation facilitated by a health professional with topics appealing to women, 30 and older. Women’s Wellness provides its participants with access to facts, information about current trends in healthcare, and connects attendees with Pullman Regional Hospital and Clinic Network and Summit Therapy and Health Services professionals, community health partners, and other select faculty.
