Pullman, WA—Matt Forge, MHA, was officially made Pullman Regional Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) during the monthly public Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners meeting, on November 2, 2022.
“It’s an honor to accept this responsibility,” said Forge. “I’m so grateful to be back home and join a regionally renowned team and an organization with a stellar culture. Healthcare is the heartbeat of a community, and none is stronger than Pullman.”
Born and raised in Lewiston, ID, Forge has served as President & CEO of Osceola Medical Center in Osceola, WI and as Chief Administrative Officer for Essentia Health. While at Essentia, he oversaw St. Mary’s and Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics in Orofino, ID and St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics in Cottonwood, ID.
Forge earned a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho, College of Business.
Forge arrived in Pullman in August and has served as Assistant CEO. The Board authorized a transfer of Chief Executive Officer/Superintendent duties from Scott Adams to Forge on November 2, 2022.
“Matt Forge is the right fit for Pullman Regional Hospital and for Pullman,” said Tricia Grantham, Selection Committee Chair and Vice President of the Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners. “Under Scott’s leadership we have evolved to a regional, 5-star hospital and network of clinics which continues to expand in growth, reputation and access. Matt will embolden us to continue evolving so that Pullman remains the premier healthcare destination.”
The hospital initiated the CEO Succession Plan in February 2021, following Adams’ announcement of his plans to retire in December 2022—which will mark 30 years serving as the hospital’s CEO.
“Standing on this side of thirty years, the future looks exceptionally bright for Pullman Regional Hospital,” said Scott Adams, CEO Emeritus.
Scheduled meet and greets with Forge are being planned; representatives from Pullman Regional Hospital are reaching out to community and civic groups to make arrangements.
