PULLMAN, WA—The Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners voted to approve the purchase of the building and land at 795 SE Bishop Blvd, formerly owned and occupied by Umpqua/Columbia Bank.
The property is adjacent to the hospital’s main campus and includes the 10,000 square foot building and 2 acres; it was purchased for $2.45 million through a sale which closed last week.
The investment will help the hospital reduce rented spaces currently being used for administrative functions; it was made without utilizing any funds from the bond that was passed in last November’s election.
Pullman Regional Hospital’s Patient Care Expansion Project is the hospital’s first major expansion of the hospital’s footprint since it was constructed in 2004. Pullman voters passed a bond measure in 2022 to help fund $27.5 million towards new construction and remodeling to improve access, limit travel and decrease wait times for healthcare services. The tax will be implemented in 2024; anticipated ground breaking is also slated for 2024. More information about the expansion project is online: pullmanregional.org/expansion
