“Dr. Murphy has provided tremendous service to our medical community as both a surgeon and a hospital board member for decades,” said Jeff Elbracht, President of the Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners. “His dedication to quality and safety coupled with his experience have been invaluable to the board and the hospital during his time as a commissioner. We will greatly miss him as a board member.”

To apply, eligible candidates may send a letter of interest accompanied by a resume or CV to Jeff Elbracht, President Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners, to the hospital’s address: 835 SE Bishop Blvd. Pullman, WA 99163 by July 1, 2023.

To be eligible, an applicant must be a registered voter, live in the hospital district (Pullman city limits) and cannot be a hospital employee.

The board will hold a special meeting in mid-July to interview candidates and potentially appoint a new commissioner. The appointee must file a Personal Financial Affairs Statement with the Public Disclosure Commission, and they could participate in the November 2023 election by filing in August.
