Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation Board Awards $5,000 in Education Awards
Pullman, WA— The Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation recently issued two education awards at $2,500 a piece, to hospital employees—Janine Lawrence and Tanya Shull, for the 2021 Spring semester.
Janine Lawrence has cared for Pullman Regional Hospital ICU patients as a registered nurse for eight years. Janine’s award will help fund her pursuit of a Master of Science in Nursing degree. Janine has also cultivated a passion for teaching and seeks to inspire and teach nursing students as a local clinical instructor.
Tanya Shull has served as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Pullman Regional Hospital for two years. She will apply awarded funds towards obtaining certification through the Society for Human Resources Management to enhance her knowledge of federal and state employment laws and best practices.
The Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation’s Governance Committee reviews applications and awards funds twice a year. In 2020, the Foundation awarded $12,000 toward educational pursuits.
The Staff Education Award is one of three the Foundation’s Board of Directors manages; it is available to any employee who has been employed at the hospital for at least one year and works a minimum of twenty hours a week.
Applications for 2021 Fall education awards will be available through the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation in May of 2021.
