Pullman, WA—The Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners have named Matt Forge, MHA, Pullman Regional Hospital’s incoming Chief Executive Officer.

Slated to arrive in Pullman in August, Forge will serve as Assistant CEO until November, when the Board will authorize a transfer of chief executive officer/superintendent duties from current CEO, Scott Adams, to Forge.

“Our search and interview process resulted in a great candidate,” said Scott Adams, CEO of Pullman Regional Hospital. “I have confidence in Matt. His experience and inclusive leadership style will continue to move Pullman Regional Hospital forward.”

“Matt Forge is the right fit for Pullman Regional Hospital and for Pullman,” said Tricia Grantham, Selection Committee Chair and Vice President of the Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners. “Under Scott’s leadership we have evolved to a regional, 5-star hospital and network of clinics which continues to expand in growth, reputation and access. Matt will embolden us to continue evolving so that Pullman remains the premiere healthcare destination.”

Forge has served as President & CEO of Osceola Medical Center in Osceola, WI and as Chief Administrative Officer for Essentia Health overseeing St. Mary’s & Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics in Orofino Idaho and St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics in Cottonwood, ID.

He earned a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Idaho, College of Business.

“We are enthusiastic to welcome Matt back home to the Palouse and begin his transition process,” said Jeff Elbracht, President of the PRH Board of Commissioners. “This has been a remarkably thorough search with significant community involvement, and we’re confident we’ve found someone whose values align with the direction and growth mindset we see serving Pullman and our region best.”

The hospital initiated the CEO Succession Plan in February 2021, following Scott Adams’ announcement of his plans to retire in December of 2022—which will mark 30 years serving as the hospital’s CEO.

Scheduled meet and greets with Forge have been planned for the fall; representatives from Pullman Regional Hospital will be reaching out to community and civic groups to make arrangements.
