Pullman Regional Hospital Women’s Leadership Guild Awards $10,000 in Grants

PULLMAN, WA—The Pullman Regional Hospital Women’s Leadership Guild will hold its annual Grant Award Celebration on Tuesday, November 19 and distribute $10,000 in grant awards to five regional nonprofits that empower women’s and children’s health and wellness.

 

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Lewis Alumni Center on the WSU campus. All are welcome to attend. The evening of celebration will include a special presentation by Sharon Hall, Pullman Regional Hospital Auxiliary President. Hall will share about the Auxiliary’s continued funding success at Pullman Regional Hospital.

 

This year’s recipients of $2,000 each, voted on by Guild members, include:

  • Circles of Caring Adult Day Health—providing meals for clients in the program
  • Family Promise of the Palouse—providing healthcare for families in the program
  • Palouse Discovery Science Center—providing partial funding for an ambulance simulator for the EveryBody Healthy exhibit
  • Pullman Regional Hospital Strangulation Training—providing partial funding for a strangulation recovery training for regional agencies
  • Willow Center for Grieving Children—providing funding for Camp Erin for grieving children

“Our guild—a group of women who believe in the power of collective giving to enhance our community—is stronger and more impactful because we are giving together,” shared Katie Van Wyngarden, newly appointed Chair of the Women’s Leadership Guild.

 

About The Pullman Regional Hospital Women’s Leadership Guild

Established in January of 2015 the Women’s Leadership Guild empowers regional non-profit agencies in support of women’s and children’s health and Pullman Regional Hospital’s highest needs through membership contributions. To date, the Guild has raised and gifted more than $326,650 through an annual grantmaking program.
