PULLMAN, WA – The Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation Board appointed Wayne Druffel as Vice President of the Foundation Board on January 17, 2024. Druffel, his brothers, and son Kurt, own Norm Druffel & Sons, one of the largest wheat and grain producers in Whitman County. With more than a decade-long history of philanthropic support and volunteer service to the hospital, Druffel brings significant experience to this role.

“I'm excited to work to help the hospital during its expansion," Druffel said about his recent appointment. "I want to make sure the hospital continues to grow and serve the Pullman community and the surrounding areas."

As co-chair of The Next Era of Excellence fundraising campaign, Druffel was pivotal in raising over $7.5 million for Pullman Regional Hospital. Additionally, he helped raise over $1 million for the COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

In 2015, the Druffel family established an endowment in honor of Norm and Jessie Druffel, which benefits the hospital's Orthopedic Center of Excellence and the Regional High School Athletic Training Program. Serving in his newly appointed role was another great way Druffel felt would help "continue the legacy Norm and Jessie Druffel started years ago."

Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation looks forward to the positive impact Druffel will bring as Vice President of the Foundation Board. "We're so excited to have Wayne leading the board," said Linda Infranco, executive director of the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation. "His energy, enthusiasm, and thoughtfulness around the hospital's projects and priorities will help us accomplish great things."
