“The Regional High School Athletic Training Program, has brought us wonderful and much-needed services to our student athletes, parents and coaching, that we couldn't have provided as a district without their support, as well as the support of individual and corporate donors. We are excited and pleased to receive this gift, but more importantly, pleased to be associated with the Regional High School Athletic Training Program.” - Jeff Cirka, Potlatch Superintendent
Whether you have had a recent injury, are recovering from an orthopedic surgery, or are suffering from chronic pain, physical therapy can help you return to an optimum level of function and fitness. Pullman Regional Hospital is fortunate to have Summit Therapy and Health Services right here on our hospital campus, with a multitude of physical therapy services. We also serve WSU students at our satellite physical therapy clinic on campus. It is best to speak with your primary physician or orthopedic surgeon to determine if you need physical therapy after your orthopedic procedure, and how long you'll need it for.
Pullman Anesthesia, a trusted local anesthesia partner with physicians and surgeons, has provided anesthesia services at Pullman Regional Hospital for more than 30 years. We now offer the revolutionary radio frequency ablation procedure, called COOLIEF, for patients with arthritic pain of the knee, hip, and SI joint. With this minimally invasive treatment option, patients with chronic joint and back pain have a non-surgical, non-narcotic, pain management option.
How it works:
COOLIEF circulates water through a device while heating nervous tissue to create a treatment area that is larger than conventional RF treatments. This combination targets the pain-causing nerves without excessive heating, leading to pain relief.
Consider COOLIEF if you:
- Struggle with chronic lower back pain, knee, hip, and other joint pain
- Do not want to have surgery for your chronic pain
- Want a non-narcotic treatment for your pain
- Experience post-surgical joint replacement pain
My 9th and 10th surgeries, bilateral replacement of both knees, were done at Pullman Regional Hospital. I’ve had surgery in Calgary and Tampa Bay and Tacoma, and a lot of different places. I’ve never seen anything like this at Pullman Regional – how comfortable it was and how good they are with the patients. The whole hospital, the nurses, and even the CNAs, I thought they were all nurses too, because they were so good.

Thank you Pullman Regional Hospital & Dr. Tingstad for fixing my knee & making sure I was in positive spirits 24/7 while I was in your care. You all made the process much easier.

My son, Kayden, fell and hurt his arm while playing. On our way to the Emergency Department, we saw our friend and physician, Dr. Tingstad in the hallway on his way out after a long day. He said, ‘let’s go take a look at it right now.’ He brought us back to his office and looked at the x-ray on his own free time to discover it was indeed broken and wrapped him in a soft cast right then and there. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Tingstad and other caring physicians who go above and beyond to care for us.
