COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics and Pullman Regional Hospital

Written by Pullman Regional Hospital | Feb 1, 2021 7:41:26 PM

Pullman Regional Hospital is helping to support Whitman County Public Health’s COVID-19 vaccine administration efforts through scheduled clinics, for those eligible in Washington’s 1A and 1B Tier 1 phases.

The hospital, along with many local providers and approved facilities are working together, planning vaccine clinics with scheduled appointments, to administer vaccinations as quickly as supply is provided by the state.

“Healthcare providers in Whitman County have partnered to ensure that all vaccine allocated to our county can be distributed within a week of delivery,” said Ben Stone with Whitman County Public Health. “While these partnerships have created a strong local capacity for vaccine distribution, the rate of our administration of vaccinations relies on allocations from the state. We are in regular contact with the state Department of Health regarding local needs for vaccine and are confident that local capacity will not be a roadblock to administration.”

Collaborative clinics, organized by Whitman County Public Health, continues to be the most effective way to vaccinate everyone eligible in the county.

The hospital’s vaccine clinics, and others throughout the county, have filled their appointments slots as quickly as clinics are planned.

Interest in the vaccine is significant, reflecting a strong commitment by our community to get vaccinated.

Hospital staff are personally responding to all voicemails and emails requesting appointments with a response time goal within the day.

Our COVID-19 vaccine webpage has helpful links to local information and scheduling information for hospital clinics. Washington residents can use FindYourPhaseWA.org, a tool to determine eligibility, sign up for notifications about eligibility, and view a list of facilities scheduling vaccine clinics.

While the hospital and many other facilities are working to keep up with the demand for vaccine appointments, we remain supportive of everyone getting their vaccine when eligible. Information is changing daily and checking the county and hospital website on a regular basis are ways to stay up-to-date.
