PULLMAN, WA–Pullman Regional Hospital has named Tammy Needham, BSN, MSN, DNP, NEA-BC, the incoming Chief Nursing Officer.
Slated to arrive in Pullman in March, Needham most recently worked as Chief Clinical Officer at Island Health Hospital District in Anacortes, WA. She has over 20 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in nursing and hospital administration.
“Tammy has an incredible career history supporting communities like Pullman, as she has been drawn to academic communities where she can foster her passion for nursing and clinical excellence,” says Matt Forge, Pullman Regional Hospital CEO. “We can’t wait to welcome Tammy and her husband to Pullman.”
Needham earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a Master of Science in Nursing from Capella University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Capella University. Tammy also has a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, a Nurse Executive Advanced Certification, and a Managing Clinical Excellence Certification.
Her clinical experience includes ICU nursing, emergency department nursing, adult and pediatric critical care flight and ground transport nursing, and experience as a clinical documentation specialist.
“My philosophy is that we’re here to do good things for people,” says Needham. “I place an emphasis on human-centered, relationship-based care because I have seen fostering these relationships truly make a difference in the lives of patients over the years.”
Tammy and her husband, Eric, look forward to connecting with the Pullman community, exploring the Palouse’s art scene, and hiking and walking the region with their Goldendoodle, Max.
Scheduled meet and greets with Needham have been planned for the spring; representatives from Pullman Regional Hospital will be reaching out to community and civic groups to make arrangements.
