    Pullman, WA—This year, the Pullman Regional Hospital Auxiliary funded twenty-two internal grant awards to Pullman Regional Hospital departments and clinics, totaling $57,433.

     

    2024 grants funded the following requests:

    • BirthPlace – patient gowns, labor mirrors, breastfeeding educational materials and materials for knitted newborn baby hats and rice bags for laboring mothers
    • Cardiology – echocardiogram table, and patient education materials
    • Care Coordination – funds for winter coats and shoes for patients in need, as well as grief support books and resources for patients and families
    • Chaplain program – religious literature, at the request of patients
    • Emergency Department – pediatric intubation medical equipment
    • Laboratory – stickers for pediatric patients
    • Mammography – specialized breast biopsy chair
    • Medical Surgical/Intensive Care Units – light blocking eye masks for patients
    • Nutrition Therapy – food replica kits to help patients with feeding challenges
    • Palliative Care – fabric for handmade blankets
    • Palouse Pediatrics – sensory wall for the Moscow office
    • Pediatric patients – stuffed animals
    • Pediatric Therapy – educational games for distraction during procedures
    • Pelvic Health Therapy – diagnostic and patient communication software upgrade
    • Therapy – patient percussion vest

     

    The Auxiliary raises funds through sales at Diane’s Gift Garden, located in the hospital, membership fees and donations, and several fundraisers during Valentine’s Day and Christmas.

     

    About the Auxiliary

    Managed by a volunteer board of directors and led by Auxiliary President, Sharon Hall, the membership-based Pullman Regional Hospital Auxiliary makes annual financial contributions to Pullman Regional Hospital for the purchase of patient comfort items. Since its inception in 1968, the Auxiliary has donated more than $1 million to the hospital. Volunteers help staff the Gift Garden and support annual fundraisers.
