    PULLMAN, WA—During Employee Appreciation celebrations, Pullman Regional Hospital recognized Rob Bruner, Systems Administrator in the Information Technology department as Outstanding Employee for 2024, and Beth Lysne, Registered Nurse and Hailey Basaraba, Registered Nurse as Nurse Excellence Award winners.

     

    Bruner has worked at Pullman Regional Hospital for 13 years in the Information Technology Department. He was nominated by a colleague for the annual honor of Outstanding Employee and was selected from a pool of 12 nominees.

     

    Colleagues of Bruner described him as “providing excellent customer service” and “supporting everyone in the organization.” His nomination letter also describes his “availability and flexibility” as immensely helpful during the organization’s transition to Workday and Epic software systems.

     

    Basaraba has worked at Pullman Regional Hospital for 13 years as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. She was nominated by 10 of her colleagues for the annual Nurse Excellence honor.

     

    One colleague described Basaraba as “a vital team member” while another wrote, “Hailey is the epitome of nurse excellence. She holds high standards when caring for patients and she is an inspiration to me.” Other nomination letters read that Hailey “is never too busy to answer a question” and “she makes people feel supported, heard, and cared for.”

     

    Lysne has worked at Pullman Regional Hospital for five years as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Coordinator. She was nominated by five of her colleagues for the annual Nurse Excellence honor.

     

    Colleagues described Lysne as “honest, straightforward, and gets the job done.” Other nominations called her a “great team leader,” “supportive, trustworthy, and accountable,” and said she “is highly respected by all of her peers and physicians.”

     

    About the Outstanding Employee Award

    Employees at Pullman Regional with two or more years of service and who are in good standing, with updated licenses and certifications, are eligible to be nominated for the Outstanding Employee Award. After evaluation of all applications, a winner is selected by a committee of past Outstanding Employee Award recipients.

     

    About the Nurse Excellence Award

    The Nurse Excellence Award has been given for the past 30 years at Pullman Regional Hospital. Nurses (LPN or RN) are recognized for going above and beyond the requirements of their job to provide quality patient care and demonstrate consistency with the cultural values of the organization.
