Pullman Regional Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Jennifer Sawmiller, PA-C (certified physician assistant), to the Palouse Heart Center. She will work alongside Cardiologist Dr. Marek Janout and help expand access to cardiology services for patients throughout the region.

Sawmiller brings experience in family medicine and emergency care, having worked in both rural and urgent settings. Her interest in cardiology was sparked during her career in the emergency department, where she frequently treated patients with heart-related conditions. This experience cultivated a deep passion for cardiovascular health, with a special focus on prevention and the long-term management of chronic heart disease.

Sawmiller emphasizes patient education and empowerment and is dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions about their health and wellness.

She earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Idaho State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish Secondary Education from Boise State University.

Before joining Pullman Regional Hospital, Sawmiller served as a Physician Assistant at Cascade Medical Center in Cascade, ID, where she focused on emergency medicine, acute and chronic care, and women’s health.
