PULLMAN, WA—Pullman Regional’s Family Medicine Residency Center is offering sports physical clinics for middle or high school student-athletes.
The clinics will take place July 15, July 30, and August 9 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Family Medicine Residency Center, 825 SE Bishop Blvd. Suite 401, in Pullman. Appointments are required, please call the Family Medicine Residency Center at (509) 336-7720.
Parents must be present for children under the age of 18. Please bring your most current health insurance information; most insurances cover the cost of a sports physical when combined with a well-child checkup.
Local family medicine physicians Dr. Kelsey Mader, Dr. Bolu Olawuyi, Dr. Karly Parin, Dr. Tuarum Shakir, Dr. Jeff Ward, and Dr. Mohammed Younes will be among the medical staff providing the physicals.
“Our goal is to provide accessible, easy ways for the community to seek care,” says Dr. Steve Hall, Family Medicine Physician, Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program and Chief Medical Officer at Pullman Regional Hospital. “Our physician residents are eager and excited to engage with middle and high school student athletes and get them prepared to compete.”
The State of Washington requires all students in 6th grade and up to receive a sports physical prior to playing school sports. Sports physicals in Washington are valid for two years.
