Pullman, WA— The Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners has announced the Selection Committee tasked with presenting a report to the Board to assist in their responsibilities in appointing the hospital’s next Chief Executive Officer.
Invitations to serve on the Selection Committee were extended to members of the hospital’s Board of Commissioners, physicians, hospital employees, Foundation board members and representatives from SEL and Washington State University.
The committee includes Board of Commissioner members Jeff Elbracht, Tricia Grantham (Selection Committee Chairperson), and Sandra O'Keefe; physicians Dr. Stephen Hall, Dr. Ed Tingstad, Dr. Peter Mikkelsen; hospital employees Scott Adams, Bernadette Berney, Caitlin Carl, Jeannie Eylar, Steve Febus, Tyne Gray, Ed Harrich, Andrew Knecht, Jennifer Matera, and Shauna Patrick and Foundation Board members Karlene Beaumont, Adrian Green and Pat Wright. Representing SEL and WSU on the Selection Committee are Ed Schweitzer, SEL Founder and President and Daryll DeWald, WSU Vice President and Chancellor for WSU Health Sciences.
The Selection Committee is responsible for screening qualified applicants, gathering feedback during candidate community forums, and presenting a final report to the Board of Commissioners.
The hospital initiated the CEO Succession Plan in February 2021, following Scott Adams’ announcement of plans to retire in December of 2022—which will mark 30 years serving as the hospital’s CEO.
The CEO Succession Plan outlines a two-year transition, in which Adams will serve in an advisory and support role for six months after a new CEO is named.
“Since opening a nation-wide search, we have received more than 45 applications. We’ll continue accepting applications until the end of December 2021. Our goal is to name a qualified candidate by April 2022 who supports a vision for a self-sustaining, patient and employee-focused, award-winning hospital,” said Jeff Elbracht, president of the PRH Board of Commissioners.
