PULLMAN, WA— Dr. John Keizur, a Urologist with Pullman Regional Hospital’s Palouse Urology Center, will host his 26th Annual Prostate Cancer Screening and Exam Clinic on Tuesday, September 19th from 8 a.m. to noon at Palouse Urology Center, which is located at 825 SE Bishop Blvd. Suite 101, in Pullman.

No appointments are needed. Patients will receive a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test (sample taken on site) and an optional exam to help detect early, present signs of potential prostate cancer.

“This is an annual reminder to stay on top of your health,” says Dr. John Keizur, Urologist with Palouse Urology Center. “When it comes to your health and urology, don’t put it off, especially if you’re over the age of 50. This simple blood test and exam can mean early detection of prostate cancer. Early detection almost always means better outcomes.”

Dr. Keizur is a board-certified urologist and founded Palouse Urology in 1996. He treats children, adolescents and adults for common problems like bladder and kidney infections, kidney stones, difficulties urinating or with incontinence, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, and other complex urological conditions. Dr. Keizur is a da Vinci robotics surgeon who utilizes the latest minimally-invasive surgical techniques. He also treats patients using non-surgical technologies like UroLift—which helps reduce prostate swelling that inhibits the flow of urine from the urethra.

Additionally, Dr. Keizur is utilizing a new minimally invasive medical technology for prostate procedures using a robotically controlled water jet. Introduced at Pullman Regional Hospital in February 2023, Aquablation Therapy is an advanced, minimally invasive Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) surgical treatment that uses the power of water delivered with robotic precision. “This is a great option for patients with very enlarged prostates,” says Dr. John Keizur. It uses a heat-free waterjet controlled by robotic technology to remove prostate tissue.
