Amy's Story

Amy's Story

From her first initial meeting with Dr. Mat Taylor, Orthopedic Surgeon at Inland Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Clinic- part of Pullman Regional Hospital's  Orthopedic Center of Excellence, Amy Ratliff was put at ease.

"I was so impressed by his knowledge of my injury, his ability to repair what was broken, and his dedication to making sure I would have the best recovery process and lasting results possible," recalls Ratliff. "I appreciated Dr. Taylor's willingness to answer questions, listen to my concerns, and take as much time as I needed to understand what would need to be done every step of the way. (Quite literally!) I also appreciated Dr. Taylor's ongoing research about my specific injury and how he applied that to his recommendations for my recovery."

Amy was connected with Summit Therapy to begin physical therapy within a week of her surgery; "I cannot overemphasize how helpful and encouraging working with the team there was.  While I always felt l was treated as an individual and listened to attentively, it brought me peace and confidence to realize my situation was not unique in their experience, and in fact, they have literally been helping people in situations similar to my own get back on their feet for decades."

"The years of experience and teamwork, at both Inland Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Clinic and Summit Therapy & Health Services, combined with an obvious desire to continue learning and embracing new research and methodologies gave me extreme confidence that I was in good hands throughout the entire process of my surgery and recovery," says Ratliff.  She is happy to report that not only is she back on her feet again, but enjoying daily walks with her family and looking forward to a very active summer making memories.

"It gives me great confidence and thankfulness to live in a place where there is such excellent medical care, for myself and my family, if ever we need it. "
