Sara Osgood, M.S.,CF-SLP knew she wanted to be a Speech Language Pathologist since she was a little girl. After years of education and preparation- her dream is coming true! Pullman Regional Hospital’s Summit Therapy & Health Services had the pleasure of hosting Sara during her last grad school rotation and has hired her onto the team as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist after graduation!
Osgood grew up in Boise, ID and attended Lewis-Clark State College for her undergraduate education. “I fell in love with the area and decided I wanted to stay nearby,” she recalled. After graduating from Lewis-Clark State College, Sara went on to grad school at the University of Montana. “In grad school, I chose Pullman as a rotation because I knew it would provide me with a lot of learning opportunities.”
“Pullman Regional Hospital and Summit Therapy & Health Services are highly regarded, so I was thrilled to be placed in Pullman,” says Osgood. “The providers at Summit Therapy & Health Services prioritize patient care and truly care about the community they work in.” Osgood says she hasn’t had the opportunity to venture into the Pullman community very much during her rotation, but looks forward to becoming more engaged now that she’s graduated and living in Pullman full-time.
She says her favorite part about joining the Summit Therapy & Health Services team has been the collaborative team environment. “It’s so nice to know I can walk down the hall and be met with supportive, knowledgeable, and friendly providers.”
Sara graduated from the University of Montana with her Master’s degree on May 14. “I have spent seven years in school to become a speech pathologist and cannot wait to use my new knowledge to help people,” says Osgood.
She joined the Speech and Language Therapy team at Summit Therapy & Health Services, alongside four other Speech Language Pathologists with varying specialties including general language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, dyslexia, and developmental learning disabilities.
